'Hack Week' Video: Sonos Nunchaku

Context

Sonos runs internal Hack Weeks where teams step away from the roadmap to build and pitch experimental projects. Nunchaku was one of those projects, presented as a short video.

What I Did

Over the course of 7 days produced the video end to end, from concept and capture through the edit. Some obvious tributes to Sam Raimi here. Footage capture, parody writing and performance, product concept and building, video and audio editing.

Outcome

Shared internally as part of the Hack Week showcase. Won an internal prize. I loved it enough to get legal permission to take it with me when I left.

Lessons Learned

Oddly, one of the funnest parts was trying to do a full montage of the Karate Kid to Cobrai Kai storyline.
