Video: Smokestack Does the Beer Run Part 2

Context

The Kitsap Smokestack returned to the Poulsbo Beer Run on March 15, 2025 to cover the second half of the course. The St. Paddy’s edition route hit six breweries, a ciderhouse, and a bonus stop across 4.1 miles of downtown Poulsbo.

What I Did

Shot and edited an 18-minute video package with run-and-gun street interviews, brewery stop coverage, and porta-potty interviews. Sony A7S III with Gyroflow stabilization, Premiere Pro edit, dialog processing for noisy outdoor environments.

Outcome

Published on the Kitsap Smokestack YouTube channel. Community coverage of a local Poulsbo tradition with interviews from runners, vendors, and The Lumberjax.

Lessons Learned

First time ever doing run-n-gun style footage capture. Brought some gear that was too bulky, and did’t have my ND filters on hand when I needed them.
